In the Central Bank’s final report on its Tracker Mortgage Examination, it says that a total of €683m has been paid in redress, compensation and costs to over 40,000 customers.

This is up from just under 40,000 in February.

The five main lenders accounted for 98% of accounts affected by the tracker scandal.

Financial adviser Padraic Kissane has been one of the voices in support of those with distressed mortgages, and he told Ivan why he was not happy that this is any sort of closure on the process.
