Facebook steers young users towards damaging content and its Instagram app is “like cigarettes” for under-18s.  So said whistleblower Frances Haugen yesterday, as she testified before US lawmakers to convince them to regulate the social media giant. Dr Mary Aiken, Professor of Cyber Psychology at Capital Technical University in Washington DC spoke to us this morning with more on this.
