Serial testing in meat factories has been suspended as testing capacity became strained due to a rise in cases in the community. Paul Reid, chief executive of the HSE, defended the decision saying if it continued the system would be almost at its weekly capacity of 100,000 tests. To discuss further we heard from Tomás Ryan Associate Professor in the School of Biochemistry and Immunology at Trinity College Dublin
