Could derelict buildings be the key to hit housing targets?

A new report presented to Dublin City Council has found that almost forty precent of the capital’s housing targets could be met by reusing vacant buildings and above the shop premises.

Should these premises simply be demolished and replaced, the capital would then struggle to meet its climate targets. So how feasible would it be to convert our derelict properties?
