A trial concluded last week where a man was sentenced to seven years in prison for rape. The girl he raped was 15 at the time. During the trial, the dress she wore was produced in court, and she was asked if she was wearing underwear at the time. Rules have changed, but it still seems acceptable to imply that survivors of sexual assault somehow brought it on themselves…
