A new study from The University of Kent shows that men who exhibit traits of so-called ‘benevolent sexism’ were more attractive to women. This could be holding the door open, carrying heavy boxes or helping a woman to use a computer. 

Is holding the door open for a woman simply good manners or an act of benevolent sexism that perpetuates gender inequality
