Intel investing in its AI manufacturing and ‘foundry’ business

From its first fabrication unit in 1989, Leixlip has grown to become the European home of chip-making for Intel. Intel will invest a further €5bn in Co Kildare to beef up its AI manufacturing and its ‘foundry’ business. Speaking to Joe was Naga Chandrasekaran, the Chief Technology and Operations officer at Intel Foundry.
