Two men have been arrested and a number of suspect devices have been seized during the planned search of a house in Co. Kildare

The search took place in Rosconnell, Newbridge last night as part of ongoing investigations into dissident republican activity. A Garda spokesperson says they are awaiting confirmation on the number and form of the devices seized.

The men, aged 39 and 45, are being detained at Naas and Newbridge Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
