The father of Reeva Steenkamp says Oscar Pistorius "will have to live with his conscience" if he is lying about the events leading up to her death. 

Speaking to the South African press, Barry Steenkamp said the athlete will "suffer" alone if his claims that he accidentally shot the model are false. 

Mr Steenkamp says he may be able to forgive Pistorius if the Olympian is telling the truth. 

Pistorius was released on bail on Friday. He is charged with premeditated murder in the Valentine's Day slaying of his girlfriend.
