An independent investigation has found no wrongdoing by the SPFL in relation to Dundee's missing vote to end the lower league season in Scotland.

The proposal was left in the balance after the Championship club's email wasn't received.

Having initially planned to vote against the motion, Dundee changed their vote the following week allowing the seasons to be concluded.

Deloitte investigated the events leading to the original missing ballot and found no wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, Celtic captain Scott Brown says the club want the chance to secure the Scottish Premiership title on the pitch.

UEFA yesterday paved the way for associations to finish a league early if COVID-19 prevents it from being completed.

European football's governing body will allow associations to decide entrants to next season's European competitions based 'on sporting merit'.

All divisions below the Scottish top flight have already been brought to a close following that SPFL vote.

"I would love to see the league finish," Brown told Sky Sports.

"We want the season to finish so we can play out all the games and we can get the trophy.

"We think that if we continue playing the way we were playing, we could extend our lead at the top."

Celtic are 13-points clear of Rangers with eight games of the Scottish Premiership season remaining and closing in on a ninth title in a row.

"We want this nine and we're determined, we're a hungry bunch of lads, we love trophies and we enjoy doing what we do." Brown added.

"I would love to see the league finish, get all the games done and dusted but it might not be at the end of the day. Nobody in the world would've thought this would've happened."
