The average Irish teenage girl will spend almost €700 on their Debs this year.

According to research carried out by the Department Store Debenhams, young women are spending on average €695 on beauty treatments, evening dresses and accessories to ensure they look their best.

This staggering cost is equivalent to the amount spent on a post Leaving Cert holiday, or the price of three tickets for Electric Picnic last weekend.
