A wild animal sanctuary in Donegal has had to get creative in rescuing bears from Russia.
Two bears are coming to live at Wild Ireland, which is located on the Inishowen Peninsula.
But Killian McLaughlin, founder of Wild Ireland, told Moncrieff it's very complicated.
"They're actually in Dagestan at the moment, it's Moscow Zoo that are helping us with this rescue.
"These are two bears that were brought to the attention of [charity] Bears In Mind.
"They were rescued from horrendous conditions, they were given to a lady in Dagestan who has a dog and cat and horse sanctuary.
"She's doing her very best [but] she's not kitted out to look after these bears.
"She's keeping them in sort of unsuitable accommodation."

"She adapted one of her stables to keep Buu, who's the biggest and the oldest of the two bears.
"He's in a stable so he never gets to see the light of day.
"Tiopa's the complete opposite: he's in a makeshift cage outside.
"He doesn't have a roof over his head, so he's out in the elements 24/7".

"You can imagine the complications: we need to now work out a route that skirts around Ukraine.
"The Russian transporters aren't willing to come across the border out of Russia.
"So we'll have to arrange one of our own transporters who we've worked with several times to drive.
"He's based in Spain and he's a vet - and we've found a vet in Moscow that transports animals as well.
"So he will drive down, collect the bears, drive them to the border hopefully to meet Robert - who's our vet and transporter - and he'll drive them the whole way back".
