Breezy and showery today, with occasional sunny spells. Many of the showers will be heavy, particularly in Atlantic coastal counties, where some are likely to be prolonged, with a few thundery bursts in places.
Rather autumnal, with highs of just 12 to 15 C., in fresh and gusty northwesterly winds.
Breezy tonight, with some further showers at times. Most of these in western and northern areas. Clear spells also, best over Munster and Leinster.
Lowest temperatures 6 to 9 C. Fresh and gusty northwest winds will be strong along Atlantic coasts.
Heavy rain with locally thundery bursts developing, turning more showery overnight with totals 25 to 40 mm in parts.
