This morning will start damp and cloudy with outbreaks of rain affecting mainly Ulster and Connacht.
The rain will become patchier as it moves southeastwards and it will brighten up somewhat during the afternoon with some sunny spells developing and just isolated showers to follow from the north.
Moderate westerly winds will veer northwesterly bringing cooler and fresher conditions to the north and northwest.
Top temperatures will range from 9 to 14 or 15 degrees, with the highest values in the south and east.
Tonight will be mostly dry with some clear spells but cloud will increase in the west and north with some patchy drizzle by morning along Atlantic coasts.
Lowest temperatures falling to between 3 and 7 degrees in light westerly breezes.
