A 27-year-old man from Co Waterford has died following a crash in Co Antrim on Saturday.

John Fitzgerald was walking on the Ballyrobin Road in Antrim at around 4.50pm when he was struck by a car. 

Mr Fitzgerald, who was from Kilmacthomas, died from injuries he received in the collision.

PSNI officers are appealing for anybody who was travelling on the road on Saturday evening and witnessed the collision to contact them.
