Two men have been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in Co Laois four years ago.

Gerard Eglington (27) was murdered at Kilnacourt Woods Housing Estate, Portarlington on the morning of the 24th September 2012.

Two men - aged 21 and 34 - were arrested this morning as part of the Garda investigation into the murder.

They are being being detained at Portlaoise Garda Station.
