Two men have been arrested following reports of three armed robberies in Cork earlier today.
The incidents happened across Cork city and county earlier today.
At around 7am, a man armed with a knife entered a filling station in Fermoy.
He is said have threatened staff and demanded cash before leaving in a black car.
Shortly before 10am, another robbery took place at a shop in Watergrasshill.
A man threatened staff at knife point, before escaping in a black car with a small amount of cash.
A third robbery happened at a shop in Glanmire shortly after.
Nobody was injured in any of the incidents.
During a follow-up operation, Gardaí in the Douglas area followed and intercepted a car.
Two men - aged in their 30s and 50s - were arrested at the scene.
They are being held at Bridewell Garda Station.
