Cloudy wet weather over Munster and west Connacht will extend countrywide this morning, clearing the frost and icy patches. The rain will turn persistent and locally heavy later this afternoon and evening, with some fog in places.
Top temperatures 7 to 12 C., best in the southwest, in strengthening south to southeasterly winds.
Windy and very wet for a time tonight, with strong and gusty south to southwest winds. But drier and less windy weather will develop later, with the rain becoming confined to the south coast.
Lowest temperatures 3 to 7 C., with some local mist and fog at dawn.
