Mostly cloudy today, with occasional outbreaks of showery rain in many areas, but good dry intervals developing also, with a little hazy sunshine in places, especially in north and northwest coastal areas. There is a risk of some heavy and thundery rain in parts of Munster later.
Maximum temperatures 15 to 21 Celsius, in mostly light to moderate northeasterly winds.
Tonight, there will be further outbreaks of rain in many areas, with a risk of some heavy, thundery bursts, especially in southern coastal areas, but it will become mainly dry later in the west and north. Mist and fog patches also.
