Rather cloudy, misty and damp at first today, with outbreaks of rain in the east clearing later this morning.
A brief brighter and drier spell will extend northwards for a time, before more cloud, scattered rain and drizzle move up from the south.
Heavier and more persistent rain will spread from the southwest this evening and tonight. Mild, with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in freshening southeast or southerly winds.
Tonight, outbreaks of rain will spread to all areas, with the heaviest falls expected across Munster and southeast Leinster.
It will be rather windy too with freshening southeasterlies, veering westerly towards dawn. Lows of 6 to 9 degrees
