Today will stay cloudy and misty with outbreaks of light rain or drizzle but in north-western coastal counties rain will become persistent by evening.

Tonight will be mostly dry with just patchy drizzle over the southern half of the country but in the north-west and north rain will become persistent.
It will remain mild overnight with lowest temperatures again of 8C to 11C degrees in a mainly moderate south-westerly breeze.
