District 8 released a statement on the proposed demolition of Tivoli Theatre, saying it will not affect the venue until 2018.
Organisers of the pop-up electronic venue said on Facebook yesterday: "We’re happy to reveal that the plans for the redevelopment of the Tivoli site are extremely long term. We have shows booked right up until 2018 and beyond."
Tivoli owner Anthony Byrne put forward a proposal before Christmas to have the theatre razed in favour of a new aparthotel on Francis Street.
As of now, there is no replacement venue included in the plans.
Over-The-Top Wrestling, of which the Tivoli Theatre also plays home to, released a statement outlining their dates at the venue for 2017.
