Three people were rescued last night from Croagh Patrick after getting lost on the Mayo mountain.
Malin Coast Guard received a call to assist the stranded woman and two female teenagers at around 9.20pm.
A spokesperson for the Coast Guard said they become disoriented while descending the mountain because of the darkness of the night.
It is understood they had climbed Croagh Patrick before encountering poor visibility on their way back to ground.
The Rescue 118 helicopter was dispatched from Sligo to airlift the walkers to safety.
They were taken to Mayo University Hospital as a precaution but are not thought to have suffered any injuries.
