Two Irish students have launched the world's newest dating app and it's like Tinder - but with a twist.

With Wynk, you can swipe left or right on other users to "like or pass" on potential dates (like Tinder) while also selecting activities which you like doing.

So when you like someone, they like you, and you both also want to do the same activity (ranging from dinner, drinks and crazy golf to more niche activities like clay pigeon shooting and helicopter tours) it's a match - giving you a possible first date idea (or at least some ice-breaker material).

The app has been launched by John Christopher a 21 year-old film student and Darragh Mc Kay, who is 22 and studying computer engineering.

"Everyone’s been there, building up endless matches that you never talk to because you have nothing in common. That’s where Wynk comes in, giving you something to talk about, something to do ... getting you that date. Wynk will turn your digital relationship into a physical one," the company said in a statement.

Online and mobile dating can be a lucrative business if you can find a foothold in this competitive market - co-founder, John says the company hopes to bring an added "layer of connection" to digital courting.

The app is available for download on both the App Store and on Android during March.
