Windy and mostly cloudy this morning, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the north and northwest, extending southwards, but becoming very patchy.
Brighter conditions, with sunny spells, will follow during the morning and afternoon, but a few scattered showers also, mainly in the northwest and north.
Mild at first, but turning colder as the day progresses.
Maximum temperatures 9 to 12 Celsius, in fresh to strong westerly winds, veering west to northwest, easing late in the day.
Tonight will be mostly dry, with clear spells, but a few isolated showers will occur along northern coasts early on.
Minimum temperatures 2 to 6 Celsius, coldest in inland parts of Munster and south Leinster.
Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds at first will continue to ease.
