Cool today, with bright or sunny spells, but scattered showers also, most of them in Munster, Connacht and in Ulster this morning, but a few scattered showers will develop in other parts today also.
Meanwhile, they will largely die out in the west and southwest this afternoon. Windy at first, with fresh to strong and very gusty west to northwest winds, backing west to southwest and moderating.
Maximum temperatures 12 to 14 Celsius.
Later today, more persistent rain will develop along west and southwest coasts, spreading gradually eastwards during the evening and early night, in freshening southerly winds.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain spreading to all parts in the early night, with hill and coastal fog.
Drier conditions will follow from the west, reaching many areas by morning.
Minimum temperatures 8 to 12 Celsius, in moderate to fresh southerly breezes.
