Management for the new National Childrens' Hospital say the safety of children, their parents and visitors is their primary concern.
They've issued a statement to reassure the public, following reports over planned fire safety design measures for the new hospital.
The hospital development board says it's fire safety design fully meets current regulations and the fire sprinkler protection planned for the hospital will actually exceed what's required by safety regulations for a building of that scale.
An Bord Pleanála is expected to decide on conditions for the project's Fire Safety Certificate by the end of the year.
