Seven plead innocence in Tallaght bypass murder case

Six men and one woman have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Dale Creighton in January 2014.

Mr Creighton was hospitalised following an alleged assault on a footbridge in Tallaght in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

The 20-year-old died in hospital on Jan 2nd 2014.

A jury of six men and six women has now been sworn in, with the trial due to begin tomorrow.

Charged with the murder are Aisling Burke and her older brother David Burke, both with a current address at Beechpark, Collinstown, Co Westmeath.

Amongst the co-accused are Graham Palmer currently residing at Park Avenue, Portarlington, Co Laois; Ross Callery of Brittas, Co Dublin; James Reid, Glen Aoibhinn, Gorey, Co Wexford; James Beresford, Castledermot, Co Kildare; and Gerard Stephens, Grosvenor Square, Rathmines in Dublin.

All seven of the accused are in their twenties and originally from the Tallaght area.
