A missing hillwalker has been found safe and well in the Galtee Mountains in Tipperary.
The alarm was raised by the man's wife who was speaking to him on the phone before his battery died yesterday evening.
Rescue teams continued searching until 2am or 3am this morning, and the search resumed at 6am today.
Valentia Coastguard, volunteers and two dog teams were involved in the operation.
Jimmy Barry from South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association explained: "He's a little cold, for spending the night on the mountain. He's been taken off the mountain, and he's headed for home.
"Conditions on the mountains yesterday evening were really, really bad - dense fog, rain, wind."
