The search for a man missing off the Donegal coast is now entering its fifth day.
Gavin ‘Care Bear’ Carey, a 28-year-old soldier stationed in Athlone, got into difficulty while swimming off Tullan Strand, near Bundoran, on Tuesday evening.
He was in the area to take part in training at Finner Camp in Ballyshannon.
Two other members of the Defence Forces members who were swimming at the beach were rescued.
The Malin Head Coast guard is co-coordinating the search effort, assisted by over 100 members of the Defence Forces.
Gardaí, rescue helicopters, a lifeboat and the Naval Service dive team are also helping to locate the missing man.
Commandant Pat O'Connor told Newstalk that a major rescue operation will continue this morning and across the weekend.
