Heavy rain will move northwards across the country this morning becoming widespread, with some thundery downpours. Drier conditions will follow gradually from the south today, however, with some bright or sunny spells developing. Scattered showers will occur also and some of them heavy, especially in northeastern areas later. It will be warm and humid with maximum temperatures 17 to 21 Celsius.
Tonight there will be some clear spells especially in the east and southeast. Further scattered showers will also occur in Munster, Connacht and west Ulster. Minimum temperatures 12 to 15 Celsius, in mostly moderate south to southwest breezes.
