Today will bring bright or sunny spells with scattered showers - some of them heavy in places.
Maximum temperatures will reach 15C to 18C in mostly moderate westerly breezes.
Tonight will be mainly dry at first, with some clear spells in eastern areas.
Cloud will gradually increase from the Atlantic, bringing outbreaks of rain, mainly across the western half of the country.
The rain will turn persistent and locally heavy in some western coastal areas by morning.
Minimum temperatures of 8C to 11C, with light to moderate southwesterly breezes at first, backing southerly and freshening, especially in Atlantic coastal counties.
