Cloud and rain will continue to clear eastwards this morning and it will brighten up with sunny spells developing.
Scattered showers will develop also, some of which will be thundery in the afternoon.
Highest temperatures today will be between 14 and 17 degrees in mainly light to moderate southwest winds.
Showers will draw back to the coastal counties of the west and north tonight and temperatures will fall back to 7 or 8 degrees in clearing skies.
Winds will be mainly light southwesterly.
