British-Irish writer-director Martin McDonagh is up for several awards for his latest film
Saoirse Ronan is among the Irish nominees for a Golden Globe award.
The 23-year-old has received the nod for her lead role in the comedy-drama Lady Bird.
She has previously been nominated for her roles in Brooklyn and Atonement.
Elsewhere, British-Irish writer-director Martin McDonagh received two nominations for his work on Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The film is also one of five nominated for best film in the drama category.
Irish actress Caitriona Balfe, meanwhile, has received another Golden Globes nomination for her work on TV series Outlander.
English actor Daniel Day Lewis, who resides in Co Wicklow, has been nominated for best performance for Phantom Thread - which he has said will be his final film before he retires.

The Golden Globes are considered an early indicator of the films and people that could be competing for Oscars in March of next year.
Nominations for best picture (drama) have gone to Call Me By Your Name, Dunkirk, The Post, The Shape of Water, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
The comedy or musical category sees The Disaster Artist, Get Out, The Greatest Showman, I, Tonya, and Lady Bird competing for the top prize.
