A Ryanair flight had to make an emergency landing after a drunk passenger stripped off his shirt and began punching the walls.

The Irish Daily Star reports the man was subdued by passengers on the flight from Latvia to Dublin on Tuesday.

The paper reports the man also posed "like Incredible Hulk", and stood between the isles at the back of the plane.

The half-naked man started punching the plane walls - but he did not show any aggression towards airline staff or passengers.

He was arrested when the pilot decided to land the plane landed in Denmark.

The aircraft then continued on its journey, after the man was detained by Danish police.

Ryanair says the man has been banned from ever flying with the airline again.
