A medical team had tried but failed to resuscitate him.

In a statement released through the PSNI, his family say: "We would like to thank everyone for the huge support and kind messages that we have received since Dad died in France."

"It has been a great comfort to us all in this very difficult time."

"We would also respectfully ask for privacy at this sensitive time so that we can be together with friends and family to grieve our loss," they add.
