A man has been arrested and gardaí are appealing for information after a cash in transit robbery in Dublin.
It happened at La Touche Road in Bluebell just after 3.30pm on Thursday.
Two men - one believed to be armed with a handgun - approached and threatened security staff as they were delivering cash to a post office.
The two men took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a grey coloured Volkswagen Golf - partial registration '07 D'.
The car was waiting on Bluebell Avenue, being driven by a third man and it left the scene in the direction of Kylemore Road.
Gardaí recovered a grey coloured Volkswagen Golf close to the scene, a short time later.
Meanwhile, as part of the the investigation a car was stopped on Francis Street in Dublin 8 late last night.
The car and driver were searched and a sum of money was discovered.
The man (19) was arrested and is currently being detained at Kevin Street garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Descriptions of men
The first suspect is described as being, male, early to mid 20s, 5'7" in height and of thin build.
He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood pulled up. A chequered scarf covered his face.
The second man is described as being aged in his mid 20s, 5'9" in height and of thin build.
He also wore a dark coloured hooded top and had his face covered.
Both men spoke with Dublin accents. There is no description available of the driver of the Volkswagen Golf.
The scene was preserved and technically examined and no injuries were reported.
