The returning faces in the Ireland set up have retained their spots following Noel King’s final squad selection ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Kazakhstan.

Andy Reid, Anthony Stokes and Darron Gibson are all included in the final squad following their selection which marked a return for the trio after varying periods of exclusion from the international set-up during the tenure of Giovanni Trapattoni. Paul McShane Stephen Quinn and Paul Green are the players dropped from the squad but all three remain on standby.

Newcastle goalkeeper Rob Elliot gets his first senior call up as Darren Randolph is suffering from a shoulder injury. Damien Delaney, who was only added to the provisional squad on Thursday, retains his spot.

Jon Walters will undergo a medical assessment at Stoke City tomorrow to determine if he is fit enough to join the squad, following a groin injury in yesterday’s Premier League game against Fulham.
