The annoying and viral sensation that was Pokemon Go has not quite died off just yet. While it has lost around one third of its users, there's still some 30 million people playing the game around the world.

In recent weeks the game has been hit by server issues and a number of attack attempts by hackers.  The folks behind the fame released an update that has utterly underwhelmed the remaining users.

The primary change is the addition of a new “appraisal” feature, intended to let people understand more about the Pokemon that they catch. Users can highlight a particular Pokemon and receive the low-down on their strengths and weaknesses. To access this feature, simply click on the circular button in the bottom right corner of the screen and hit the "Appraisal" option.

It's said that the developers are “are still working hard on several new and exciting features to come in the future of Pokémon GO”.

I, personally, won't hold my breath for that.

Complaints

Just this morning, the BBC published a report on the number of incidents reported to the police in the UK following the release of the AR game.

"Robberies, thefts, assaults and driving offences were among 290 incidents recorded across England and Wales throughout July. Lancashire Constabulary logged 39 incidents - the highest figure from 29 forces that provided data. The force has reiterated safety advice for fans of the monster-hunting game," according to the report by the BBC.

A spokesman for Pokemon Go developers Niantic also urged people playing the game to "abide by local laws".
