More than ten people have died in the US after a tour bus crashed into the back of a truck on a Southern California highway.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau has not released the number of fatalities however local reports put the death toll between 11 to 13 people.
The bus was headed toward Los Angeles when the collision occurred near Palm Springs around 160km east of the city.
Both NBC and Fox News have reported local sources as saying that 31 people were injured in the crash.

A tow truck was used to separate the vehicles according to local reports in the Desert Sun newspaper.
The injured were treated at local hospitals, while all westbound lanes of the interstate were closed near the crash, according to the reports.
The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 5:17am local time.
