One thousand people detained in French anti-government protests

The French interior minister says 1-thousand people are in custody after more anti-government protests across the country.

135 people have been injured.

The movement began last month as a demonstration against tax rises for diesel and petrol, but has grown to include those angry at other issues about how France is being run.
