A car has crashed into bus shelters in the French city of Marseille, killing at least one person and injuring another.
Police say the suspected driver - a 35-year-old man - has been arrested.
Reuters reports that the suspect was known to police for minor crimes, and may have had psychological issues.
It was not believed to be a terrorist investigation at this stage.
The first bus shelter was hit in the northern part of the city around 8.15am local time, before a second bus shelter was hit an hour later several kilometres south.
Officers had been advising people to avoid the old port area of the city following the incident.
Local media has reported that one woman was killed.
