Punk icon Patti Smith will support the band at the royal Hospital Kilmainham next June
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have announced their return to Ireland with a date at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham confirmed for next June.
It will be the first time the band has played these shores since their memorable performance at the Body & Soul festival in 2013.
Punk icon Patti Smith will be providing support on the night - with gates opening at 5pm.
Cave will be performing songs from his powerful 2016 album Skeleton Tree as well as hits from his extensive back-catalogue.
The band is due to announce a string of European performances for next summer with Dublin the first to be confirmed.
The concert at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham is set for June 6th next year.
Tickets priced at €69.50 go on sale through Ticketmaster next Monday at 9am.
