A motorcyclist in his 40's has been killed in a road traffic accident in Cork this morning.
Gardaí remain at the scene of the collision at Doctor Barry's Bridge in Rathcormac, where a van and bike collided at around 7.45am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the van driver was not injured in the collision.
The road remains closed for a technical examination and diversion have been put in place.
Gardaí at Fermoy are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 025-82100.
