It will be dry in many places to begin, apart from a few showers in Atlantic coastal counties.
The showers will spread elsewhere from late morning, with a few turning heavy this afternoon.
Maximum temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in light to moderate, southwest to west breezes - veering west to northwest later.
Tonight
Most areas will become dry tonight under clear spells as the showers become increasingly confined to the Atlantic coastal fringes.
A few pockets of mist may form locally in the mainly light west to northwest breezes.
There will be lows of 7 to 10 degrees.
