Police in the North are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident involving a quad bike in Omagh.
The collision between the quad and a male pedestrian occurred on the Erganagh Road in Omagh last night, Friday 07th July.
PSNI inspector Glen Latimer said the man had sustained serious head injuries and was receiving treatment from ambulance staff when police arrived at the scene at approximately 10:45pm.
The man was then taken to hospital.
“I am appealing to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time particularly regarding the movements of two Quad motorbikes to contact Omagh Police Station,” he said.
“Alternatively if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously.”
The road was closed for a time but has now reopened.
