A man in his twenties has been rescued after falling onto railway tracks in Phibsborough in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
The Dublin Fire Brigade and an ambulance were alerted to the scene just after 1am.
The man had fallen from the Liam Whelan Bridge on Fassaugh Avenue.

He was brought to the Mater Hospital for treatment where he is said to be in a serious condition.
The Dublin Fire Brigade attended over 150 call-outs in the early hours of New Year's morning.
