Gardaí in Co Meath are appealing for witnesses after an injured man was discovered in Navan in the early hours of this morning.
At around 2.20am, ambulance crews were informed that a 25-year-old man had been found with a serious head injury at Metges Lane in the town.
He was brought to Drogheda Hospital, and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
The man is said to be in a serious condition.
An appeal has been issued for anyone who may have been in the Watergate Street / Medges Lane area of Navan between 1.45am and 2.30am this morning.
