A man in his 70s has died following a road collision in County Kilkenny.
Gardaí said the single car collision occurred between Graiguenamanagh and New Ross at around 2:30pm this afternoon.
The man was the driver and sole occupant of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time after the crash.
Gardaí at Thomastown Garda Station are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
The road is currently closed to traffic and a forensic investigation is underway. Local diversions are currently in place.
