A man is in a critical condition in hospital following an assault in County Cork over the weekend.
The incident happened shortly before 12.30am on Saturday morning.
The 30-year-old man suffered serious injuries outside a public house on Pearse Street in Clonakilty.

He is receiving treatment at Cork University Hospital, where his condition is described as critical.
